Book Case Treasures

First off, we have a few things to get out of the way:

Yes there are a lot of bookcases in here.

We have WAY outgrown our home. We have one room to live in. It has four walls: three have doorways or walkways, one has windows and three have bookcases. Bookcases are our friends.

The bookcases are cheap, dont match, need to be smooshed together in places and there are people everywhere. Even when Im trying to take pictures.

I dust, I decorate, I clean these babies way too often and there are ALWAYS treasures waiting for me, like these today:

WHY? How does it happen? How do things get behind books? On top of books? Where do all the "extra" books come from that appear in stacks?

Does this happen to anyone else?

If you ever figure out how all those "treasures" get there let me know. I find lots of them too. We have 8 book shelves similar to yours (2 in the livingroom, 2 in our music room, and 4 in our loft area that is our school room). I love my books and they need a home too :-)

It's me... I don't know why I can't just put things away, but I just stash them away on the bookshelf instead *L*

Too Too funny! My kids will be soo relieved! I get a lot of "it wasn't me MOM!!" and sometimes answer, "you are telling me that someone broke into our house and hid YOUR pocket knife on the bookcase????" Now we know who it really was!! I should just make you a key:)

Hi happy Saturday Sharefest.

My sister homeschooled her kids and has the same issue with overflowing amounts of "stuff". The good news is that her kids are such great students, as I'm sure yours are. There will be time later to have tidy shelves, right? You are creating great minds!

Thank you for commenting on my blog. My Mom made those cupcakes for my youngest for Christmas, and she has played with them A LOT!!! Oh, and the older kids have found that they are great for throwing at each other too! I have spent some time now on yours (blog), and I really appreciate how REAL you are!
I know what you mean about the "stuff", for me it is under the sofa. I always find shoes, toys, books, games, garbage, you name it,it's under the sofa!

Very cool... My bookcase is still in the garage and hasn't been put back together after we moved. I'm starting to get feverish for it though. I do love my books!

Happy SITS Sharefest Saturday!!!!

Yes, totally understand the stacking. Comes from people reading books and then not putting them away right. Hmmmm....

Yes, we find little "treasures" everywhere, too. Just this week, my husband was changing the light bulb in our foyer chandelier and he found a Nerf bullet. Then, he was cleaning out our gas fireplace so that we could start using it and he found a baseball behind the logs.

Thanks so much for stopping over at my blog on my SITS day!
